Where is the tallow sourced?

From grass-fed, grass-finished cattle in the Hudson Valley, New York. It is rendered at low heat to preserve the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, and made in small batches.

Does beef tallow smell like beef?

No. Properly rendered tallow is close to odourless. The only scent is the essential oil, which is there for fragrance alone.

How do you use tallow balm?

Use a pea-sized amount. Warm it between your fingertips until it turns to oil, then press it in rather than rubbing it on. Straight after a shower is a good moment if it suits your routine, but it works on dry skin too. It finishes matte after a few minutes.
